memset()

Set memory to a given value

Synopsis:

#include <string.h>

void* memset( void* dst,
              int c,
              size_t length );

Arguments:

dst

A pointer to the memory that you want to set.

c

The value that you want to store in each byte.

length

The number of bytes to set.

Library:

libc

Use the -l c option to qcc to link against this library. This library is usually included automatically.

Description:

The memset() function fills length bytes starting at dst with the value c.

Returns:

A pointer to the destination buffer (that is, the value of dst).

{
    char buffer[80];

    memset( buffer, '=', 80 );
    buffer[79] = '\0';
    
    puts( buffer );
