Appendix B: VJE Key Stroke Summary

Keystrokes:	VJE behavior:
Ctrl-A Home	Move the cursor to the beginning.
Ctrl-C	When inputting phonetics - convert string. When converting - move to the next homonym.
Ctrl-D Right Arrow Tab	Move the cursor one character to the right.
Ctrl-E Page Up Shift-Up Arrow	Move to the previous homonym list.
Ctrl-F End	Move the cursor to the end.
Ctrl-G Del	Delete the character at the cursor.
Ctrl-H Backspace	Delete the character to the left of the current cursor position.
Ctrl-J F6	Convert string to Hiragana.
Ctrl-K F7	Convert string to Katakana.
Ctrl-L F8	Convert string to full-width Eisuji.
Ctrl-O F9	Convert string to half-width characters.
Ctrl-Q Shift-Left Arrow	Shrink the current bunsetsu by one phonetic character.
Ctrl-S Left arrow shift-Tab	Move the cursor to the left.
Ctrl-W Shift-Right Arrow	Stretch the current bunsetsu by one phonetic character.
Ctrl-X Page Down Shift-Down Arrow	When inputting phonetics - show homonyms list. When in homonyms list - go to the next homonyms list.
Ctrl-Y Shift-Backspace	Delete all characters.
Ctrl-Z	Move to the previous homonym.
Shift-変換	When inputting phonetics - convert. When converting - move to the previous homonym.
Down Arrow	When inputting phonetics - show homonyms. When converting - move to the next homonym.
Up Arrow	Move to the previous homonym.
F5	Convert code number into character.
Ctrl-F6 ひらがな	Switch to Hiragana input method.
Ctrl-F7 カタカナ	Switch to Katakana input method.
Ctrl-F8 Ctrl-無変換英数	Switch to Eisuji input method.
Ctrl-F9 Shift-Ctrl-無変換全角/半角	Toggle full-width and half-width character size.
F10	Convert string to half-width Eisuji.
変換	Before inputting string - turn on/off VJE When inputting - convert string. When converting - show the next homonym.
Shift-変換	When inputting phonetic string - convert string. When converting - show the previous homonym.
無変換	Confirm string
Shift-無変換	Toggle Hiragana and Katakana input modes.
Esc	Undo input.
Enter	Confirm string.
Space	Before inputting phonetics - insert half-width space. When inputting phonetics - convert string. When converting - show the next homonym. When in homonyms list - move to the next homonym.
Shift-Space	Before inputting phonetics - insert a full-width space. When inputting phonetics - cnvert string. When converting - move to the previous homonym.
